A Little Bit of Whimsy

Got a smile on my face
and a giggle in my heart
after taking these pics!

Don't they spark your imagination?

Whimsical thoughts of Wonderland...
is that Alice peeking out from behind that dahlia bud?

Loved this photo shoot...
the morning light was perfect.

and by getting down low and pointing the lens upward
into that beautiful blue sky
the perspective is...

Magical!

Loving my morning walks.

  1. Hmmmmmmmm those tight purple buds are just such a rich colour against that blue sky and there's a lovely texture to the rosette of petals aswell.

  4. I have fallen in love with dahlias again. Some of mine finally bloomed in late summer/fall after we finally had some rain. I do need to plant more and get them started earlier. I love their scrunched up faces as they start to bloom. They change so much as they bud, bloom and fade...gorgeous and definitely whimsy!!

  5. I really love the photo of this flower. It does look like Alice in Wonderland or perhaps Dr. Seuss.

  7. I love using the sky as a background in flower photos. That blue is the perfect contrast to the bright colours of those petals.
