Sweet Little Birds... Outside my Window...

Wouldn't they just freak out to know
I am on the other side of the glass taking their picture?

Shhhhh....  Let's keep it a secret.

  3. Sweet, sweet, sweet.  It's the only way I capture them in my garden.  My lens doesn't zoom so they know when I'm onto them!  Great shots, Carolyn!

Adorable little captures! I often find taking photos through the window produce the best results since the birds don't know they are being photographed! They tend to be a little camera shy!

  10. Come on over and clean my windows. Great shots, I like the one which looks like the common sparrow, but with a red head, don't see them here.

  13. I intentionally spilled the seeds so they would come up close.

  14. The orange feathers are male House Wren, the gray are the female House Wren. They live here year round and have a beautiful song to sing. As for the brown, I think they are common Sparrow. I actually really like their color.

  18. I do love to photograph the little birds that visit here. Most often you have to be sneaky about it.

  20. Taken at a time of day that the glass acts as a mirror on their side, so they don't see me.  That last little guy was actually admiring his own image.

  21. Carolyn,

I think these are male and female Purple Finches. The female with the cream stripe over the eye says Purple Finch all the way. The males could be House Finches but given they are with female Purple Finches they are likely Purple Finches. Enjoyed these photos very nice job.
