Sunrise in Sweden

The sun is rising in Sweden.

It is the last sunrise my son will see
before he begins his long journey home.

Two years of humble service
for his Savior
as a missionary called of God
to proclaim His holy gospel.

Two years seems like forever to a mother...

so grateful he could go,
so full of joy that it is finally time
to come home.

Tomorrow night...
and I am so excited!

  1. Beautiful sunrise, I can imagine that you will be so very happy to have your son back home. Sweden is not so far from Scotland, high time I had a trip there.

  2. So exciting!  Have a wonderful reunion with your boy.  In just 10 years my oldest son will be off on his mission, if all goes well.

  3. WHat a stunning photo! X

  4. What a fabulously dramatic photograph! Have a good reunion.

And I thought our sunrises were stunning...what a blessed sight and your blessed sight on his way!!

  6. Wow, what a gorgeous sky!  I'm sure you're glad to have him back!

  7. I enjoyed  your blog very much, your photographs are amazing, your garden is beautiful!
And I am happy for you to have your son back home. Mine is just 9 hours drive away, but it might as well be in another country. I do miss him.
    Happy Gardening,

  8. Stunning! This beautiful sunrise seems to reflect your joy as well.  Enjoy!

  9. Magnificent sunrise! I'm a mother, too and I'm happy to know you'll be seeing your son soon...

  10. Not often I get to see a sunrise in Sweden!  Lovely!  So glad you will have a wonderful homecoming with your son.  Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

  11. Lovely photo and am so happy for you both that he is finally coming home. Have a joyful reunion.
